Re: Wanted M152 johnson Chore Horse generator parts
Hi Marc, You can do a search on the Smokstack website for Johnson Iron Horse and Johnson Chore Horse. Also, there are a couple of good You Tubes of restored Chore Horse generators. They were both 12V and converted later to 24V. I also suggest that you try the Maple Leaf Up web site, since there are members on there in your area who would be familiar with them. Brian Asbury may also have what you are looking for, or know someone who does. For the benefit of those who are not familiar with these generators, they were manufactured by Johnson in Peterbourough, Ontario, with WW2 models being 12V and later versions likely converted to 24V for use with M series vehicles and equipment. My M37CDN has the mounting holes in the fender and on the top of the headlight guards. Photos of the M152CDN applications also appear on JD Baillie's M152CDN web pages.
I would like to find a restorable 24V Chore Horse and the fender mounting plate but they are scarce out west. You have a better chance finding one closer to your location.
Jess
