NEEDED: m37 rim (or rim with decent NDT) TEXAS

Starting to collect the bits, as I find them, to complete the M37. Never had a spare tire.. whether I throw a spare in the bed or purchase the door mounted spare tire carrier (talking to forum members on the carrier now...) I need a spare tire regardless.

So, I seek a good condition rim and lock ring....at the least... BUT..Prefer a complete rim with decent tire mounted..

ALSO (my list of "demands" grows  ) would LOVE to find one close by to me to save shipping! Been there, done that with mounted tires and the price to ship is expensive.

So, anyone on this forum in the DFW (Allen, TX to be specific) area that has a decent M37/PW rim with mounted 9:00-16 NDT tire for sale?
OH.. anywhere along the 75 route into OK up to Atoka and east woul work too, as I frequently drive the route to my remote cabin/workshop in SE oklahoma (Clayton, OK)

BTW.. anyone in the Clayton, OK area on this forum?

thanks all!

Be careful about accepting a "PW" rim, especially one with a 9.00x16 tire mounted on it. While they share the same five-bolt pattern, most of the Power Wagon rims were 5.5" width by 16", while the M37 rims are 6.5" width by 16". You might want to read this: http://texaspowerwagon.com/Tires.htm

well thanks for that info.

Isnt the 5.5 width the military 1/2 ton 16" width rim?

I always thought the m37 and civiliam power wagon were the same... humm.. well I need an M37 exclusive rim then!

thanks!

The 5.5x16 Goodyear rim may be the rim for the 1/2 ton military Dodges, but I'm not very familiar with the WC or the earlier VC series.

Although many people casually refer to the M37 as a "Powerwagon", there are a surprising number of differences between the G-741 and the civilian Power Wagon trucks.
