Hey Charlie, where did you find the 30 cal replica and mount? Thinking of adding one myself.

That's awesome looking. Did you build it? I built a .50 cal but have not tried the .30 yet. I forgot where he got them but my son got the drawings off the internet. So its built to correct dimensions. Would be great to build one for the M37 like yours. They are not to bad to build as they both are kind of boxy. The M60 would be a bit more difficult I think. Thanks for the pictures

I got the .30 cal from a guy locally that had bought a bunch of WW2 items at an estate sale. It is a replica but not new. After talking with some people, I think it was a dummy used for training. It is made of aluminum but very accurately detailed. The charging handle works and the loading gate opens. The sights are adjustable and it came with a tripod that the travel and elevation screws work just like the real thing. The tripod is painted WW2 olive drab. I made the mount from pipe and mounted with the 2 screws that hold the front bed board on. I would like to get the real pintle mount so I can have an ammo can mounted also. It got a lot of attention before and during the parade.

I think it looks great. Your mount looks good as well. Your right the guns get tons of attention every where we go. We want to build a 105 some day. Just not enough time at present.

im very jealous up here replicas are prohibited

i cant even mock up a few blocks of wood and a dowel unless I make it in to a bb gun. however I would get too much of the wrong attention.

That 1919A4 is pretty close... There was a time we were able to build a firing semi auto replica for about $300...

Those were the days! Now that I have one I want more!I think four would be a good number of machine guns. I guess it is no different than all the other accessories we all like to add. The more the better.
