I started to take the fenders and bed off for painting and it got me to wondering, where do you buy the odd-headed 3/8-24 fender bolts? Also , what grade are they? Who has the best and complete carb kit?

Hey Bruce! - my son attended the percussion camp via Horner at your place last few years! For bolts, we had luck finding both fine/coarse threads at the Home Depot. If the attachment used a weld nut, then we stayed with the correct thread. If the attachment was a bolt/nut, then we went with readily available standard threads. The key to visual success is the square washers which are peened on before threads, meaning we had to pound them off with an oversized socket that distroyed the bolt. We had to drill the washers oversized to fit over new bolts. We also had luck at the local ACE for some of the smaller machine threads.
For carb kits, John at MWM has the complete kit. It was a little more than we wanted to tackle here in the winter because of using solvents in the house. We sent ours to Jim Wallace in Florida who performed magic. Send me a PM with your number if you want to discuss further - Keith(Clarkston)
