I cant believe it, no response

I have a line on 6 goat wheels with m37 centers but I do not like the ride that the 25psi flotation ndts that are on the rims give. I know the rim has a o ring to seal the lock ring but I don't know if the bead interchanges with a modern tire. the stock ndt runs at 25psi can the rim/ O'ring handle say 60 psi.

I dont want to hand over good cash for tires and rims that will be obsolete when I wear the rubber out.

any help would be great

I wish that I could help you, but I have never even touched a Gama Goat rim.

I would look to see if a tube and flap are available for the tire size that you have in mind.

Swamper makes a M16 tire that would fit on the 18" gamma goat rims
not cheap though

I ran GG wheels with adapter plates on my Diesel M37 for more than 15 years and 100K miles.

Goat rims do NOT have an O-ring seal, strictly like a tubeless tire on a regular rim. The lockring just holds it in place.

They are made in England by SanKey.

Goodyear 11.00-18 military tires are steel belted BIAS tires, and will last twice the life of regular 9.00-16's.

The performance of the stock NDT both on and off road made them a no brainer, never looked back.

Big 18" rubber is available at most larger tire outlets when they finally dry up.

very interesting. thanks PoW. I was told that the max psi on the 1100-18s was something like 22psi Is that correct?

OK im confused. so your saying there is no O ring on the split rim? how does it hold air there's no tube? :?

The inflation pressure runs around 40 PSI for use with the M-37. You can run more as listed on the sidewall, but it is just over what works best.

The seal is just like that on a regular tubeless tire, intimate fit between tire bead & rim surface.

The current crop of 'duck' or DUKW tires may not be as the Goodyears made for the Goat project, dunno.

That swamper is way too short compared to the 42" diameter of a Goat tire...why bother.

I could not find a max psi rating on any of the 8 GG goodyears

I will have to put them to 40 and see what its like

thanks PoW

Yokohama had some 18" tires that could be possibly be used (with radial tubes) on Gama Goat rims...

Why tubes?

Goat wheels are designed for tubeless tires to begin with.
