3-wheeling in my Piper Cub. Sandbar on the Mississippi River.

Also, flight mechanics, biomechanics, and functional morphology of my favorite critter (you can get an idea of his size by the man standing on the ladder by his head).

Interesting stuff Jim, I'd sure hate to be on your "critters" radar about lunch time
I like the aircraft, a good friend of mine runs a Cessna 150 taildragger with a 175 heart installed, he lands up the hill and takes off by falling off the hill, I have thus far declined a flight as it looks hairy scary when he takes off and lands (plus I am a crappy passenger in flight anyhow)....

Me out in my front yard with a left humerus from the critter. They had no teeth and ate small fish and crustaceans, so you wouldn't be at risk during lunch. However, they had tiny digestive systems and flew in flocks, so you might be at some risk shortly after lunch. I suggest an umbrella. (Oops - picture too big to post. I'll add it later.

If you are talking about the geared engine from a Cessna 175 in the 150, that must be one of a kind and quite a performer.

Here's one. I also like to build quadcopters. (Sell 'em too.) See if you can spot the M37 in this video.

Thanks Tony, I was not part of the pictured recovery but in 1970 I worked for AeroTech that had a contract to scrap 5 B29s and 1 RB 50 a fuel tanker an updated 29 with R4360 engines. We removed the engines, then stripped generators, pumps etc. from them and then melted the aluminum, cast ingots which were shipped by rail to the mill and the big radials were sent to South America to be rebuilt and used on passenger aircraft serving the continent's air routes.

We scrapped a lot of them but at least 4 were saved for various museums around the country.
