How to ship a Hog's Head

Hi Guys,

I bought a used differential from a good guy on Ebay who sells lots of used M parts. UPS dropped it off yesterday, and when I saw how it was packed I started laughing pretty good. So I figure you guys might get a kick out of it as well. And I laughed right up the point when I tried to lift it. Holy carp that thing is heavy. It's got to be 80 lbs or more, which made me feel bad for the UPS guy who brought it all the way to my back door. Anyway..........check out the pic........I'd say it's a pretty innovative packing job. What do you think??

regards,
bob

Good job, very creative providing a carrying handle for UPS, although those a very heavy items even with a handle.

I've seen better, I've seen much worse; what amazes me is the fact that UPS accepted the package at all. Don't think that would have flown with our UPS guy.

UPS is a bit weird about packages. I've shipped odd-shaped things and sometimes they hit you up for it and sometimes they don't. They must have a higher weight limit than the Post Office though, because this thing is heavy! I can pick it up with one hand....but can't walk with it unless I put two hands on the handle. The other ones I've had shipped came in their original wooden crates. At least this one had a carry handle!
