A new project

I figure I got a pretty good deal when I traded my spare parts M37 for this new project, a Canadian M152 Radio and Communications truck. Its almost identical to an M43 ambulance, but its got a single door on the rear, and eight windows in the box. An SBC, Automatic, and power steering conversion have already been installed, but its not yet a runner as it needs some form of steering colum, transmission shifter, and some new wiring. I'll go over everything with a fine tooth comb before it see's the road, but at first glance, it looks pretty good.

Way cool truck you got there! I'm assuming those are pretty rare. Looking forward to seeing more pix. Congrats on the find.

Ray, You have too much fun. Do you have enough room in the shop to get her inside? Those gin palaces make a great camper to take the family out and still keep the military look and feel. Post some pics as you go along.

They are pretty rare indeed, being only produced in Canada for two years, '54 and '55. This one is a '54 according to the data plate, and only about a 1000 or so were built. It should make for a great family rig, with lots of room and storage for those high mileage adventures...

I've got that "white stuff" all over my yard now, many inches of it. There is no room in the shop at all for any of my projects, so I highly doubt I'll get anything major accomplished this season. Although, there is space to accomplish some small projects, like building the diffs and maybe some of the "RV" brackets I'll need...
