Fender welting

Post by bill monahan »

Does anyone know the proper fitment of the front fender welts? I got mine from Midwest. Do you line up the long and short pieces with the seam on the engine valance panel? If so then the short one extends down too far past the fender. I suppose it dosen't really matter, just want to know how everyone else does it.

I think the excess is tucked inside the engine compartment?

Sorry for the slow response, Bill. I don't recall any special placement for mine, just lined up the edges, punched the rivet holes and riveted them on.
