We got a call tonight from my son's unit family outreach contact at Fort Campbell. Seems their unit is coming home from Iraq next month. :D They were supposed to stay until October. It was nice to see the wife cry tears of joy for the first time in a while. Great news.

May your son return home safe and sound. I offer my thanks to your son for serving our country, for his sacrifices enable me to enjoy my freedoms with my young sons. While I hope they never have to go to war, should they decide to defend freedom, I will stand proud as I am sure you have done so.

It's official. Andy will be home in the States this Sunday the 20th :D . We will give him a couple weeks to settle in and Zen out then we will head down to Ft. Campbell to pay him a visit. I will take him to "Charlies" steak house for a sirloin and some suds. Charlies is on the KY side of Ft. Campbell and I highly recommend it if you are ever down that way. They have a steak that is about 10" x5"x 3" . It's not a meal, it is an event.

Have a great time. We have had the same type of experience when our son returned. It is such a relief and also a time of joy. Have a great time with him. God bless all our service people.
