Does anybody make new production oil filter canister hoses? I don't really want to put 40-50 year old NOS hoses on my engine. My local hose shop only goes down to 1/4" ID Thanks! :)

Make it fit.

With the proper brass fittings, you can make any size hose fit. Have your local guy fab up a set of hoses and install the proper size fitting ends on the hoses, or adapt what he has to make them fit. I would suggest using metallic braided hose. Costs a little more but will last a lot longer. A slightly larger ID hose will work just fine...John

You can still buy them from fram, or napa stores, or use hoses made for a grease gun...Phil in Mt 8)

New exact replacements are as close as your local NAPA Store. Oil filter hose # is: 11224, two required, product line is Eaton Weatherhead. While we're at it the flex hose at the fuel pump inlet is: 11078, same product line. This one usually needs replacement at the same time.

Don't be bashful.... NAPA price here is around $16 a piece and they had to order them in. I ordered them anyhow because mine are very cracked.

Charles~

Your contributions are invaluable. I am replacing the flex hoses on my MC & fuel vent lines. Is there a specific NAPA part # or just use the oil lines?

The original vent lines are 3/16", as far as I can find from recent searches the flex hoses in 3/16" are no longer available. We have been using the same ones that are on the oil filter lines (1/4") along with a small reducer fitting to get to the correct size fitting.
