Hi Allen,

Just a thought or two here. When I got my M last spring I started looking for a set of rust free doors for it. I've found the best place to find doors (though truly rust free is tough) is at the military shows/swap meets. I don't know if there are any in your area of the country, but if there are you might want to check them out. You can see them before you buy and no shipping.....which I guess you know really hurts. At most of the shows I went to this year vendors with M37 doors really were just looking to get rid of them. I bought one set for $30 and at a later auction a guy wanted to give me a pair just so he wouldn't have to take them home. :D

Second thought......I understand you don't care if the doors need some work......but.....Memphis Equipment still has a few NOS passenger doors left, which although they seem expensive, if you factor in your time and effort to repair a used door it might be worth the extra cost to you. Being NOS you simply pull it out of the box, rough up, prime and paint. Done. No sheetmetal bending, welding, filing, dent pulling, sanding, etc, etc. They list on Ebay...here's the auction:

Funny thing about M37 doors.....for some reason....when they were made at the factory they never painted the bottom inside of the doors. No wonder it's so tough to find rust free ones today!!

bob

Fodman,

There was a driver's door on Ebay a week or so ago....think it went for $68 plus shipping. I thought you had found a set, so I didn't post it here. I only saw an auction for one door....and it appears he's parting out the a whole truck....so you might want to drop him a note and ask if he still has the passenger side.
Here's the auction link. At the bottom of the listing is a link to ask a question of the seller.
