Hi,
New to the group. Just bought a 1963 M37. Truck is in good shape, haven't found much wrong with it. The previous owner just didnt have time for it anymore. I have been looking over the post to see what others have done to their trucks. The one problem I have is all the things I want to do to my truck. You guys have tons of suggestions and even more how to threads. First thing I have to do is get some new rubber for it. The NDT tires are original stamped 2-63 on the tire. Dry rotted and hard as bricks. I will get some pics posted soon. Even as the new guy, thanks for all the info posted on the site.

Hey welcome aboard Mark! I know your locale-I'm originally from Louisville, KY, down I71 from Cincy. Great site and great folks here-post your many questions (as we all have before you).

Mark,

Welcome. I have a '54 M37 and live up in the West Chester/Liberty Township area. If you are interested, we could get together and talk trucks.

Thanks for all the good words guys. Tried to post pics but haven't figured it out just yet, seems a little complicated to me but I am sure I can figure it out.

Plans for my 37 are the safety first rule"
Brakes
lights
reliability
Tires
then start rebuilding the generator, starter, get the vacuum wipers to work
Get the engine to stop leaking.................is this really possible?
Cav Trooper, Would love to link up and talk trucks! this thing is my latest obsession! You guys know what I am talking about.....

Took her for a cross town drive the other day, ran good up until I shut her down to run into the store. would crank over but no fire. Got a little stressed but took a deep breath and started checking connections, the generator connection was about 4 to 5 threads backed out, hand cranked it down, said a quick prayer, hit the starter button and we got fire!
Again thanks for all the good words. As soon as i figure out he posting pics thing I will get them on here.

Mark,

I've done all of the leak stop measures and I'm down to a small drip in the front of the engine which I know is just a gasket but don't have the ambition to tackle it yet. I'v gone through the transfer case rebuild, transmission seals, front and rear diff seals, brake cylinder replacement, master cylinder conversion and front disc brakes. Installed a winch, heater, radio and mount the spare tire on the door. New carb, electronic ignition module, relocated the replacement electric fuel pump, etc. Lots of stuff done now and a few items left on the list. I have all new tires and have an extra spare if you are looking for one. Let me know, I'm retired and to sometimes have some free time from my wife's honey do list. I'd like to see your truck and maybe I can cruise on down with mine. I've driven it to Dayton and out past Milford, each at least and hour to hour and a half drive with no problems. The truck feels really road worthy now. I take it to the range ever so often and a couple of parades and cruise ins. It gets a lot of looks and if fun to talk about. pm me for my email address or phone number.
