HVLP to soda blaster?

I have a small HVLP paint sprayer. Can I remove the fluid nozzle & use it as a limited duty spot soda blaster? Is there any way to do this without 1) spending money 2) permanently messing up the spray gun? My other option is to buy a cheapo soda blaster.

#1, without spending money, are you in the real world?
#2, without messing up the paint gun, no way on God's green earth. Not likely you will ever get the soda to pass throught it; if you did, soda is very abrasive and would destroy precision machined paint gun components in a hurry.
#3, seriously, all I've heard from body pro's around here who have tried soda blasting have portrayed sad endings. We have not tried it. Tell us of your adventure if you decide to use it.

Buy a cheepo soda blaster. As for results I've heard good and bad. I think it's good for small things and items made out of light metals i.e. alum, brass etc. Steel not so good...and really rusted not so good. But, I've never used one and am only going on what I've read others have posted on different forums.

Never tried anything in my Binks but paint. If your HVLP is a cheapo I suppose you could risk soda beads. But, why not
go to Harbor Freight in person or on line and buy a cheap paint gun or blaster gun. Like others, I'm not a fan of soda
bead blasting. Save yur pennies and buy the right tool for the right job.

Long story short - didn't work. No surprise there. I would get better results by sprinkling the soda on by hand.
Rest assured, my paint gun was unharmed in the adventure.
I picked up an inexpensive siphon rig to do the job.
By the way, I'm cleaning an aluminum engine block from a non M-related project, hence the choice of soda.
Thanks for humoring me.

That makes sense the project your doing then. Glad you didn't distroy your gun and you got the right tool for the job.

(Baking) Soda doesn't come in bead form.
