MW has remans pretty reasonable. Call John, it fits right in the existing bolt holes.

I have seen M37s with passenger-side mirrors, but I believe all M37s were originally equipped with a driver's-side mirror only.

There are 2 bolts near the p/s door about 6-8" apart. You simply unbolt and this bracket fits right over the holes and away to go. I believe John at MW told me the Canucks added a right hand drive so they could turn and run in either direction without running down their own guys - nah, just kidding... spent too much time in Canada.. had to take a shot!!

John at Midwest does have a nice right side mirror setup.

For a different take on how to get a mirror on the passenger side, look at my website to see how I did it (mirror is farther forward so I can see it better...):

Either way you go, being able to see the person flying up an on-ramp trying to cut in front of you instead of tucking in behind you is a good thing.

Here's what I did,

I used flat stock, nuts, bolts, washers, drill , shop tools and a welder. I already had the mirror head and arm with it's lower angle/pivot brackets. I ran a tap into the holes, used anti-sieze on the bolts and after everything was cleaned and painted, bolted it up.

so will the fording pipe work with either of these pictured styles?

All three of the varients should work just fine with the fording pipe (air intake) setup. John at Midwest is selling the Canadian setup and theirs was designed with the fording kit in mind, Carter's is a variation on the same theme. My setup places the mirror arm sufficiently behind and above the hose to not be a problem either.

My $0.0025 (adjusted for devaluation of the dollar)

I have both the John's bracket and one I got from VPW. John's is far superior - no extra holes to drill. (the VPW one is up for grabs - you pay shipping)

The problem I have is that the pass. door smacks into the mirror when the door opens. It's a snug fit with a Gerry can in place. I solved the problem by putting a #6 rubber stopper on the door check arm in side the door. (I have a sneaking suspicion that I have the wrong door check arm, anyway)

Anyone else experience this?

Smacking the mirror with the door is one of the reasons that I mounted mine in front of the jerry. That and the fact that I can see the mirror through the windshield so even in the rain or snow it's useful...

A fellow enthusiast on the old "Big Electric", Andy T from the Windy City, he had no way to post a picture. So I volunteered my services and the od godess got her a new passenger side mirror.

Andy had the machine shop where he worked fab them up, either he lost interest, what happened I'm not sure. I think I drilled the hole in the wrong spot, it shold have been farther away from the pivot point?

Hey!!! I have one of those on my truck. The mount hole should be a little further out but they work great!!!!

Hey Rick,
Hows it going? Isn't yours attached to the Fording Mounts? Was it there when you bought your rig, or did you add it?

Bruce, mine is attached to the same bolt yours is. I don't have any fording equipment. I bought the mont from someone on the old Big Electric site. It came without the mounting hole drilled. Works like a charm.
