Oh! You dog! You just made me slobber all over my keyboard! I haven't drooled this much since the night I snuck into the WAC barracks!! I'd sure love to get my hands on onbe of those old WWI era Republic trucks!

Thanks for posting this! I too hope this stuff winds up in the hands of collectors and not scrappers. I would be curious as to what some of that stuff brings (in particular, the M20). I liked the M59 APC, used to own one of those in better times...

Hey Matt,
Our local club, VMVA has an M-20, the local gendarmes were about to cut it in half & bury it deep.......... the boys made their case, we got custody of it for the time being, it's on display at the "Field Day Of The Past".

It's a lot roomier than a tank.

Probably not as roomy as the M59. The '59 was designed to carry an M38 jeep inside of it in the recon roll  :) .

That's one nice M20 your club has :) Was that Fairfax PD's old rig? I may be incorrect as to which dept. had it, but one of those NoVa PDs used to have an M20 as their SWAT vehicle. Saw it in operation (on the news) back in the early/mid 90s during a Bank robbery up there. Didn't know any were still in operation that late...

The M-20 is at the "Field Day Of The Past" this weekend here in Richmond. The pic I posted is from 2007.

I went to the auction. The M37s were all bought up by scrappers planning to cut up and convert to junk Chinese steel sigh............ prices for even the worst started above my maximum bid. Very sad day for me.

There is a thread concerning this auction over on steel soldiers. On page 3 of that thread, a poster who was (also) there lists what a lot of that stuff sold for. The M20 went into the twenties. Bidding on that was crazy.
