Flea Market tripod find

I picked this tripod up at a local flea market. It was OD, very heavy gage, heavy feet, and the crank is geard very low with about 12" of travel. It must have been used for something heavy? I don't know if it was actuall mil-spec or not. Most gun tripods were round? Maybe for a scope or something else like a work fixture. I did not want to pass it up for the price. Anybody ever seen one of these?

I'd say it's some sort of jack, looks a lot like a jack for a slide in pickup camper.

Yep! Camper jack. You need 2 more for a complete set.

Thanks for the help on the ID. I think I am going to turn it into a work jig for my mountain bike and stuff like that. It will take its place with all of the other "I'm gonna make this into...." items
