So this Sunday I decide to tackle the leaking toilet wax ring I didn't do last weekend because of my mailbox project. I figured two hours tops.
So wax ring off, wax ring on. I quickly learned that after working on the Dodge a man gets a different feel for the definition of tight. You all know where this is going. He-he. I carefully tightened each bolt and snuged the bowl to the floor. I figured I would give one of the nuts another turn. WRONG ANSWER. BAM! I was suddenly looking at cracked porcelain on the base of the "vintage look" $$$$ toilet we just put in 3 years ago. So of to Lowes I went. Got the new one (less expensive, fearing this accident again) installed and then realized it didn't come with a seat. Back to the box store. What a day! I did manage to get into the garage and pull my steering knuckles off the front axle. That went much easier

Everybody gets to do that once? (including the return trip<LOL>)
Today/yesterday was "honey-do" day here at the farm, got a lot done!

I've come expect that whatever I think a job is going to take, I need to triple that estimate to be closer to reality. I can remember many a household job that I figured would take an hour winding up pi$$ing away an entire weekend.

Thats how it goes. Things you like last less than chores you hate.
