ok so today , me, my girlfriend, her father, marco and maxime went down and picked up the 2 runing truck ( 55' and 54')
so far both started, the 54 wich is the ligth green one with the heater on the fender dont run for long because the gas pump is dry but purs like a kitten when you fill the carb of gas
the 55 run very well and can be driven but it badly need a muffler and a carb clean up
so here are some pic's of the day....enjoy

well today i took a trip in time to get some parts to get me going, the plan is to get both engine running like a song in the 54 and 55, then put the 54 up for sale to provide money to buff up the 55, bougth a new gaz pump all of the flexible brake line that where packaged in 64 but are still brand new, and some rubber for the ends of the shocks, changed the fuel pump on the 55 but it is still stutering so tomorow i plan on taking the carb appart and cleaning it , and i will put a good pump on the 54 too
it is amazing how few tool was needed to replace the pump, even the bolt holding it in place where longer to get the removal faster , took about 15 min to swap them lol
any how here are some pics
new parts
the long bolt holding the pump and the few tool needed to replace it
old pump
new shiny pump 60 years old!!!
also some pic of the kids in it , they love driving in it
my oldest pretending to drive...
and me giving them a ride

more taking appart today and amazement on how little rust there is, a few bolt needed heat and one stripped, i have yet to find a rust hole in the floor, the truck went topless today and most of the interior is out , i just have to figure how i am going to take the stearing off with out destroying it , it is very brittle, ill have to find a way to restore it to
any how here are the pic of the day
topless!!!bring the sexy!!!!
general of the floor
passenger floor board removed
transmission and shifter linkage, note the poor condition of the battery cable passing on top to the starter it was a fire waiting to happen
no rust in the battery box!!!
dash and darn stearing that dont come off
nice solid firewall
nice solid floor pan and transmision tunnel
parts pile is growing
how naked i left it for the week end, no turning back now
