Dual Master Cylinder/Hard Pedal

I too went completely through my brakes over the winter. New wheel cylinders, shoes, lines and a dual circuit master. I am otherwise all stock with the drums all around. I have noticed that over a few miles the brake pedal seems "hard" with almost no travel. The brakes still work but the pedal just feels wrong. I triple checked the shoe adjustment and it all checks out. Might I need those residual valves that Charles mentioned in a earlier master cylinder post? Many thanks in advance!

Sounds like you may have no pedal free travel and are holding a little pressure against the M/C piston when the pedal is released. Double check that free travel adjustment, be sure the rod is not touching the piston when the pedal is released Residual check valves are to correct the opposite problem.
