Anyone here a member of the Steel Soldiers forum?
I've been trying to join for awhile now but registration is disabled.
I've sent about 20 emails to the webmaster with no reply.
I was wondering if someone could send a mod or the admin of the site a pm to get the reg function enabled?
Thanks

I also belong to the Steel Soldiers forum. For purely M37 stuff, you'll get much more info here. SS is heavily into deuces, but has categories for nearly everything in the way of military vehicles. There is some "overlap" in membership, as you have noticed, but the folks "over there" are just as helpful and easy to get along with as the folks "over here."
I don't know why you'd be having a problem with registration, but I'll see if I can't bring it to the administrators' attention for you.

Thanks Lifer
Seems they got a banned person who wouldn't stay banned. So they locked the registration...

I'm aware of the situation regarding this individual and why he was banned. Let's just say that he "couldn't play nice" and let it go at that. I didn't know that registration was completely blocked, though.
As it now stands, you're limited to viewing certain portions of the site and cannot post on any of the threads open for public view. It's a sad state of affairs, but it will get batter.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier

but I don't post much over there now that I had a disagreement with a moderator over posting links to my webshots albums instead of on their site which, for me, is slower than webshots. Not much M37 activity on SS unlike here on Robi's site

Carter,
Now that you bring up Webshots, I have found it quite a PITA to download a photo from a Webshots account because you have to use their file/download agent on your computer. I have a Webshots account and I still think it's a big PITA. I also have a MyPicsGallery.com account and the movement of data between there and other web sites and there and personal computers is speedy and trouble free with no need for membership or any special download/filing system.
