Post by hbb »

I am putting together an 1954 M37 and it is missing the fuel filter that should be mounted at the left in front of the regulator. should anyone have a spare please call 623-694-0231 or leave a post!

Hi,
Actually the fuel filter up near the regulator was phased out around December of 1952 according to the list of production changes. It was moved to the interior of the tank.

Gteencom:

Since the posting I have been contacted and purchased the part I was looking for. Thank you for the reply you may be right with the location of the fuel filter since my truck had been plumed for the filter at that location and those filters are very effective in separating water, dirt and grime and with the brackets in place it will be a natural install.
again thanks for the advice!

be sure to check for all the brass screens inside the filter - they are tough to come by. You may want to install an in-line filter as well.

fuel screen/filter

Thanks for the reply Kevin I guess I am a little slow on the posting the fact that I located a screen and I think I also looked at those on eBay and they were in pretty good shape! I will keep you in mind if I come across some else looking for one.
Thanks again
