We're at about 1-1/2 months and closing. The annual East Coast Convoy, en route to Aberdeen military vehicle show, is due to arrive at the show on Thursday, May 21st, 2009. There are serial routes coming from the north, west, and south in order to hook up on the way to the show.
This is a great opportunity for those who have military vehicles that are going to Aberdeen, to drive in a military-style convoy with other collectors and owners going to the show. We are also looking for volunteers who can assist with organization, safety and communication.
Here's the website to sign up!

How many are planning to attend the convoy?

Mike; For the last several years I have been Cabell's "on site guy on the ground" doing such things as finding locations where all the the serials of the convoy could meet up before driving the last miles to the rally site. For a couple of those times I talked with the owners who gave us the OK to met at Aberdeen Plaza where Ollies Discount Store is located. Also last year I rented a pavillion at Susquehanna State Park for Cabells Friday Feast. This year he has ask me to arrange a Friday trail ride convoy to the same park location only this time I am shooting for a early to mid- afternoon drive and I will be posting a route map for the Friday drive. I have again signed up for the convoy and was wondering if you wanted to post the friday trail ride map on the convoy website.
You have ask for volunteers, so what else can I do to help ?

I'd love to do this, maybe next year if I can get the truck running. I'd almost have to have two weeks off from work though, to make the trip WAY up there at 45mph....
Perhaps towing to the starting point and then driving?
Next year, hopefully.

Kinda curious, in Supply Line they listed the show as the 20th,21st and the 23rd. Isn't there going to be a show on friday. I was going to drive down for Saturday, I'm just wondering if most of the vendors will leave before then. I always look forward to this show, a great place to get parts, and put faces to names. Who all is going?

The show is Thursday through Saturday and most begin to leave after lunch on the last day.
I think a number of us are going, me included.
Hopefully we can all meet up.
