Grill extension

Post by chicklin »

Looking for the lower grill extension. It's "U" in the drawing, or part number 7374733. New, used, don't care. As long as I can clean it up and paint it.

I'm in Kansas City, MO.

Oops, forgot to check there.

One question, though. I read that maybe the extension wasn't used on winch trucks. Is this true? I have a winch truck and I could see where they wouldn't need the protection down there with the winch in the way.

I've seen a couple of w/w trucks where the winch clevis tatooed the radiator due to overwinding. I can't say positively if the lower guard is used on the winch models since I don't have the winch model (yet-I'd like to add it eventually).

Just looked at several pics of trucks w/w and none of them had the lower grill extension. In fact, now that I look at the pics, it doesn't look like it would even bolt in due to the winch being in the way.

Lower grill

Winch model trucks did not use the lower grill piece if memory serves.

BTW - I have two of them on the shelf, if you are interested.

My truck with a factory installed Braden winch does not have the lower grill extension. I don't think you could fit one in the space available.
