Grrr...jam nut!

Post by refit1701 »

I ordered a bunch of stuff from John @ MWM yesterday, then got home and remembered that the jam nut on the rear axle flex line needed to be replaced. The old one looks like someone chewed it with a chainsaw. I never was able to get it off the old flex line and had to cut the other end off to save the bracket.

So, is this something I can get locally? I'm going to check at Lowe's and the parts store after work. I hope I don't have to call John again since that always results in too many $$$ in "oh, yeah" parts being purchased! :D

Take some comfort in knowing that this phenomenon is neither limited to you or John.

It starts out simple "I need an exhaust pipe" and before I get finished looking through the list I've got a new electrical system.

"Gee, I hate to bother John for just this one thing, I'll get a couple of others too."

Ugh.

I still have to find a jam nut....
