I am trying to find a rebuild kit for my ACME transmission in my M37 Canadian truck. Or any parts, seals, info, numbers to call.. Anything?? I tried Brian Ausbury with no luck.
Charles Talbert you have anything for them?
I have been told that ACME was a division of Borg Warner and there are PTO's off of some late 40's Ford trucks that will work.. Can anybody confirm this? Any info on these trans would help..

I have 1 take-out ACME trans. Have no idea about its condition.

How much would you want for it? Maybe pop the top and take a look? Is there a PTO on it by some lucky hand of God? I need to travel to the Cherry Point NC in the near future.. Your on the way arent you? .

No PTO, we are about 4 hours northwest of Cherry Point. We could certainly be on your way, depending on the route you take. We are 3 miles to the east side of US highway 52 south on the Stanly County - Anson County line. Near the Fork Community below Norwood where the Pee Dee & Rocky Rivers meet. We see the mail lady, school bus, & a few tractors pass each day, that's about it for traffic.

Charles do you have the parts to rebuild the trans you have? Maybe a price on that one completely rebuilt ready to go. I noticed mine has a bigger input shaft than the US trans? I have not pulled the bell housing off yet but do Canadian trucks have a 11 inch clutch like some civi flatfenders? Do you have a rebuilt NP420 ready to go? What size input shaft do they have? I must have a winch on this truck! ..
I have only heard rumors of a PTO that will work on the ACME but I have not broken the ACME open yet. Any chance of matching a PTO gear set to it and installing that in a US PTO housing? I know, I know lots of questions...

We could build it if it only needed bearings & seal. Not sure of parts availability if it needed more than that.

I don't have a single 420 at this time.

Hello guys: I have two M37 Canadian transmissions, rebuilt in Canada. They are both clean and in good condition. I also have one only NOS, still in the crate 420 M37 B1 transmission. Let me know if interested. Sid
