cross ref # for lifter
I need one lifter for my engine and was wondering if NAPA can get it. I would hate to pay shipping for one lifter.

New or used? Ck. under swap meet. "Bubba got you" is parting an engine out. He may part with one saving you $. I am sure Charles or John B. may have one as well. If they ship parcel post shipping would be minimal.
With a used lifter, simply square the face of the adjusting bolt up if there is a divit, then lube the adjusting bolt to make sure it moves freely. Then check the lifter fit in the block.

Valve tappets are not available at NAPA, haven't been for years. Take-outs are all there is. We don't have any I can part with because there is no source for new ones.
