When replacing the connecting rod nuts what is it best to stay with the original reversible style or go with a Stover or nylon insert type? Any loctite applied? Most L-flatheads I have worked on had lock tabs of some kind. Not so on the 230?

Go with original nuts and lockwashers, nylock nuts will not work long in oil and any other locking nut will have an effect on the proper torqueing of the nuts.
