I am at the point of getting the ignition sorted out. Looking at the attached picture of the distributer cover. Where is #1 located? I know the firing order but I have a new set of wires to put on.
Note that this a spare cover. Not the one that is installed.

if you roll your image so the coil is down, the #1 wire is bottom left, following clockwise, #5 ; #3 ; #6 ; #2 ; #4...pretty sure thats it. from memory mind. i think in the manual, theres an image of the numbered cap wire positions in the electrical section....you marked number 5

Is correct as EDM43 is telling. Actually if you place the rotor in the position #1 you'll hear a click.
