And Dayton is three hours from me.

David, just wondering why your not painting the parts green prior to mounting them? I know they are powder coated so it's kind of a moot point, but I'm just wondering.

Joe,

I am going to shoot the frame, axle, drums, and hubs all together along with the top bows for the M37. I did paint the nooks and cranies (top of drop leg at pivot, bottom of leafs) where paint wont reach with the gun prior to assembly. I like to have as much as possible ready to shoot before I mix paint and get the gun out. Then I will do the wiring on the frame. Once a have a finished rolling trailer chasis I can get the tub in the garage and start on that

I took a vacation day today and got the frame painted. It was about 72 and low humidity. Perfect for spraying :D Got an early start about 0700, put on the WWII songs in honor of D-Day and went to work. Now I need to get moving on the cargo box. I would like to be pulling this trailer by August...Recent pics start here in my album:

Bert,
I really want to do a WC53 Carry All. 2nd choice would be a civvy Power Wagon or another 40's-50's Dodge military.
This happens only after I remodel the kitchen or build the wife a 65 Mustang per the supreme command

Hmm, I wonder how a 65 Mustang would look OD. :P

The car would be allot cheaper than the kitchen remodel. Besides, that would need a 3 color camo paint job.

Cloth wire loom isn't original to the M101 is it? I haven't had much time to work on my truck. Been busy welcoming new Grandson into the world! :)

K8icu,
Congrats on the new grandchild. I have another due in July myself :) I am feeling old with all these grandkids:lol:
No, not originaI. It would have been a tape covered MV harness. I had the loom left over in just the right amout and a spool of 14GA automotive wire. I have connectors left from the M37 resto so it seemed logical/economical to fab a harness myself. The loom was more apealing to me than blowing through rolls of electrical tape. It makes the harness look more HD and not so "scrawny"

NICE WORK ON THE TRAILER DAVID!!! AS FOR THE SUPREME COMAND, I TOO, WOULD VOTE FOR THE MUSTANG. IT MAKES A MORE INTERESTING REMODELING THAN THE KITCHEN  LOL
