Outstanding job, John! So, for the group, how far off were those fingers, and what tools did you use to adjust them?
Thanks,
Gary

The adjusting nuts are accessible without pulling the transmission and are 9/16". We figured out the height of the fingers from the flywheel with the disc in place (each truck will vary some) and used a dowel to measure the height. Then the nuts were staked as per the manual.

Where did that pressure plate come from?
I would hate to buy and install a clutch assembly only to find it's
Out of Spec.
Was it new or rebuilt?
Thanks Tom

Actually, it was the one on the engine when I bought it. I remember when we originally installed the re-lined clutch and had to add spacers that we thought the friction material was thicker than stock. It's possible that the pressure plate was adjusted wrong to begin with and we never thought about checking it. I bought a new one, which we didn't use, which seems to need adjusting too. That is when I need to use it. Many variables involved.
