That sure is one UGLY looking truck....not that the M37 is by any means "pretty". But I really like the external brakes and the air horn on the drivers side cowl!!

Air cooling??? Really? You mean like a VW Bug? I can see why the Army went with tried and true.
Those Aberdeen guys must have had a boatload of fun playing with all these toys!!!!

I posted this on the power wagon forum and someone thought a guy named John V. might own it now.

[quote="w30bob"]Here's another pic of the prototype. The other interesting vehicle Chrysler was working on was the T53A1, a 3/4 ton CABOVER. We could be restoring and driving those today instead of our M37s if they didn't cost soo much to build.
Not "instead" of but in "addition to" I'm sure you meant to say.

Hello Gang,
I just joined the G741 today and saw the thread on the T53.
I am the current owner of T53 Serial #1 which is located in Ohio.
The truck is completely dissembled with a rolling chassis. It is complete
with all of its original parts including continental engine and GM Torque matic Transmission.
I will try and post a few photos soon.
Thanks!
Mike
