Thank you for your suggestions. I've just ordered some M22 Flat Copper Washers. Maybe the one I used (Copper crush gasket - #MS35769-18) was incorrect or I installed it upside down, if that's possible. Once I receive the new washer, I'll drain the lubricant (AMSOIL 75W-90 Long Life 100% Synthetic) and refill. I plan to reuse the drained lube plus some out-of-the-bottle lube to top it off. Am I nuts to reuse the drained fluid?

I never retain or reuse used oil as there could be contaminants or metal shavings within.

In this case, he JUST put the fresh oil in. Would you still not use that?

If I felt I drained it from a clean gearbox I'd likely reuse it to save some cash.
