picture of wiring harness req

Post by SydneyM37 »

Hi,
i have run my harness down the right hand side. but my concerns are when it comes to the bend at the rear.
Does the loom go in the hole or does it raise above the chassis.

(if this question is a bit weird, just a photo of the rear/right corner will be great.

cheers

Bruce

Not having my truck here to look at, I can't say for sure. I will say, though, that any time wires are run through a hole in a metal part, there will be a problem with chafing unless a rubber grommet is installed first.

If you're talking about the rearmost crossmember, it goes on top. There should be two "U" shaped clips screwed to the frame to hold the connectors.

Harness

Thanks guys,
I was just concerned at the point from where it travelled down the side, to the exact spot where it rose up onto the rear crossmember.
It looks like a place where the loom can be damaged,

You can see the harness in the left corner. Perhaps this helps?

Thanks John,

That was the money shot, thats how i installed it, i just did a bit of reinforcing right on that bend, so it doesn't rub through.

Cheers
