Ok I was hooking up my wiring and seem to be lacking a wire that goes to the distributor. Is this a separate wire? Or how does the distributor get electric?
May God grant me with the serenity to accept the things I cannot shoot, The ability to shoot the things I can and a place to hide the bodies

Assuming you have the original distributor, there is only 1 wire that feeds power to the unit. #12 coming from the ignition switch. On the early trucks that have the firewall mounted radio suppression filter, it comes from the switch to the filter, then proceeds from there to the distributor. Only the 1 wire either way though.bubba_got_you wrote:Ok I was hooking up my wiring and seem to be lacking a wire that goes to the distributor. Is this a separate wire? The reason is that harness was for the early trucks that had the filter box on the firewall. The later harness has #12 wire coming directly from the ign switch to the distributor, #12 on the later style harness exits the fire wall on the drivers side.Rick C wrote:Not sure why, but the harness I put in my M43 had the distributor lead on the passenger side of the truck. Had to run a wire over to the distributor.
