Had a look at the manual, and cant find min/max allowable thickness for the brake shoe linings.
As I dig deeper into my m43 brakes, I get the feeling I need new brake shoes, and possibly drums.
Drums I can get aftermarket, albeit at great expense.
Shoes I can get relined locally, for less than importing new ones ...but don't want to if I don't have to...going to continue poking at the search engine, to see if I can dig something up.
Any insight?

Re: Brake shoe linings
I know that Charles at M Series rebuild had offered relining, that was a while ago but worth a call to his shop.

Re: Brake shoe linings
Found it...had to really dig into the manual (actually a better copy), to find one line.
Lining dimensions are 1-3/4" x 15" x 1/4"
Mine are worn at least 70%...since brakes and steering are not something I wish to compromise, I'll look into getting mine re-lined locally...if cost is prohibitive, I'll investigate other sources.
Now to try and find the drum wear limits...i THINK I'm okay with what I have. I'd rather make sure...
Thanks for the reply!

Re: Brake shoe linings
Found that too...i managed to dig my copy of the canadian eme manual out of my messy files...the wear limit on the drums is 14.220"
The canadian eme manual, is a good deal more complete, than the U.S. version. It only mentions shoe replacement when the linings get to, or thinner than 1/8".
Mine are only slightly above that, so rebuild required.havn't had time to measure my drums yet . Time will tell if I need new ones...i dread the possibility of interesting new tariffs, and shipping...lol
