PTO Gear Backlash

Post by N1VSM »

How can you measure/set gear lash when installing a PTO? Is there a "cheap and easy" way to do it, or is this best left to a pro (i.e. someone who has the correct tools for measurements)?

A dial indicator with a magnetic or clamp type base works great.
