1953 M37 value

Post by Gerry »

Unfortunately I have decided it is time to sell my truck. I have no idea on a fair value. I did a frame off restoration having the engine rebuilt.I did not rebuild the tranny or differentials but the rest of the truck is pretty much new. She does have a couple drips here and there.any help would be appreciated. The truck runs and stops great.
Thanks,

I'd say at least $12K today. Others will probably say go higher, but that depends on how fast you need to move it.

Cool hood number, my old one was 201011834.

Sorry to hear of this, Gerry! What a nice truck you have, too. I couldn't put a price on it-whatever someone will pay I suppose but the 12K post is a good starting point.

Lovely looking truck. If I didn't already have one I would want this one. Looks fantastic. Price wise there is a great guide in military vehicles. easily a 15k truck.

I fully agree between 12-15 but the deal with any kind of antique vehicle is that it is only worth what someone is willing pay for it in the time frame you are willing to wait for that amount. And once you announce a price STICK TO IT! As soon as you lower the price one time people will know you are desperate to sell, and then the game begins. You will have a half dozen people watching and waiting as the price drops and it is just a matter of who jumps first.

Thanks for the advice. I dont need to sell, I just want it to be used more than my occasional trip to the store or ice cream. Hopefully someone can use it in parades.

I'd really be interested in it but for having to pop another $3K to go & get it back to AZ. I just turned 66 and I just don't have time to rebuild another one with all the other stuff going on.

Damn.
