The bridge badge has nothing to do with armament.

It signifies total consist weight in tons.

On the M37 without a trailer, it should read 04.

With a trailer, it usually is upped to 06.

I have a "real" pedestal mount in the rear of my truck, and a "real" gun mount/ammo can holder from BMG parts, and a replica gun coming soon from Rogue Island replica guns. I think a 50's recoil would be hard on the sheet steel of the bed, so went with the air cooled M1919A4 gun. To more securely bolt the pedestal to the bed, just forward of the middle of the center, I put about two feet of steel strapping underneath under my bolts, it is rock solid. I asked BMG about theft protection, they said most folks just use a bicycle cable and a lock. So, for one of the four pedestal leg bolts, I used a left over forged seatbelt ring bolt, and then just run my cable up to the mount and use a lock for it. I don't have a way to lock the gun onto the cradle yet however. I may drill one of the mount's pins, or figure something else out. At least this way, a casual thief can't take my pedestal/mount without a stout bolt cutter. Since I don't intend to drive around with the gun "up" (I also bought a new, wrapped '57 canvas gun/ammo can canvas cover), and cause terror and fear in the general populace, I will make a sturdy wooden box for the gun and somehow securely mount that too to the floor or bed sides. That way I can park for lunch and not have fear of losing my gun to someone walking by. By the way, I bought a tripod and pintel and T&E for the gun, for a ground mount. I did not go with the tall M37 pedestal for the bed, because then I couldn't get my truck into my garage. Painted the truck two days ago, and will post some pictures of it with the gun soon.

here are some links. By the way, the tripod/T&E are very real and sturdy. Not from Asia.
