Finally after 7 years I have installed my door edge moldings. My that trim adhesive gets runny in the NC heat.
By the time I get all the details finished on old 58-091618 it will be time for another overhaul and paint I also finally installed what every 53 year old kid needs, my siren. I am going to a gathering at a tactical store open house in August and this should announce my arrival nicely. Took the rig out in the heat last weekend to see how she did. Ran great and fired right back up in the 95 degree weather after a fuel stop.
I hope all are having a great summer. Thanks to everybody for posting pics of events and supporting the hobby. Also thanks to many for the P/M's of support this past year. OD rules!

Re: Two Milestones
You should post a video of your siren going down the road. I bet it sounds wicked?

Re: Two Milestones
what I would really like mounted on my truck is a good replica of a 1911 30 cal machine gun. I have very little actual wartime experience with that vintage gun, by the time I was in RVN, they had been transferred to the Vietnamese. Us US guys by then had transitioned to the M60 guns. Both are formidable weapons. Especially at night firing all tracers. Like a laser beam with a lot of noise. Mounted the driver's fender and inner splash shield today, too hot to do more outside in the sun.
I am sure your siren will gather lots of admiration and comments.

That's cool David!
I'm still planning out my Voltairmax air horn install-not a siren but should make all the left-turn violators get out of my way!

Re: Two Milestones
I have a siren on mine
I took an old starter button put it where the stock dimmer switch is on the floor so you hit the siren button with your foot
and it looked stock

Re: Two Milestones
That starter button on the floor was a good idea. I used a Cole Hersee momentary push switch in the dash. Even the wife had to come out and test it.

Re: Two Milestones
Hey that helps! I'll use the starter plunger to activate the air horn, as I was wondering how best to do it!
