anyone ever somehow added one?

I ask because of the oh no here we go sensation while taking curves in the m43b1

Wouldn't the anti-sway bar limit your off-road flexibility? Unless the anti-sway bar could be disconnected, as is done on the current Jeep JK Wrangler Rubicon model.billy wrote:anyone ever somehow added one?

A freind gave me this advice about sway bars for the m43.
Keep in mind i will never do serious 4 wheeling with my rig.

I drive my M37 every day and I never thought I needed a sway bar. I wonder why your's is swaying so much? Different shocks maybe?

Billy has the ambulance with modern engine, brakes, and steering. much higher center of gravity, and able to go around corners much faster.

I dont think it would actually tip over.
But it would be a nice upgrade to drivability.
Since the previous owner swapped the engine and tranny I don't feel bad about modifying the bejabbers out of this cool truck.
I still want it to look stock to the casual observer

I have been wondering about adding sway bars to my 8000lb ambulance.
I have one from a dodge 1 ton laying around
My truck is a special case and i cannot find precedents.
I dont think its been done before.
Should i install front or rear first?

Billy,
If it were me I'd do the front bar first and tune it with bushings (rubber/urethane), they're cheap and easy to obtain.
I've never driven an ambulance, but the M37 with a load of passengers is a different beast compared to unloaded. It gets a bit of roll! I will say the new shocks on mine made a BIG difference. It's much more controlled, still rolls loaded, but it doesn't upset things so much, and most importantly doesn't scare me. Unloaded there's little roll.

I'll agree with Andy about the front first. I'm not a chassis engineer, but I don't ever recall seeing a car or light truck with a rear bar and no front. Plenty of vehicles with a front bar but no rear, however.
