MV show this saturday

Post by refit1701 »

At the Veteran's Museum in Huntsville, Ala, there is a show this Saturday. I realize most of you live a distance away but I thought I'd mention it anyway.

For sure! With gas prices what they are now, I might make it as far as Nashville, Tennessee before I ran out of funds. :(

Yeah, my buddy has a jeep and a duce and won't drive either the hour it takes to get to Huntsville. Gas prices are gonna kill this hobby, except for local shows.

Where I live, a 1-hour drive IS a "local" show! I could manage that far, anyway. ;)

Is it gonna be a big show, Its really not that far from me, maybe 1.5 hr. of course I'm gonna have to work all weekend. But, you never know, maybe there's a .00001% chance I'll have saturday off.

It's a HUGE show, larger than Aberdeen, with hundreds of vendors and thousands of vehicles on display..

OH wait, you mean the show in Huntsville? :D

It's a small show. It does have the advantage of being at the museum, which has dozens of MV, including the first Ford jeep and a running Stuart tank. We are supporting is since the owner of the Museum, Randy Withrow, is in our club.

Randy is a former MVPA board member (one of the good ones) and an all around nice guy.

So come if you can, but don't expect a big show if you do.

It was ok, but started breaking up around noon. There were a few jeeps, way too many mules, a few duces and they brought out the half-track and Stuart tank.

We chewed the fat for a while and that was about it.

I guess this is sort of a social get together, more than an actual show.
