I am redoing am M42 and I need to know what radio was used in them. Any help would be appreciated.

Depends on the era, for instance Vietnam era and later would be the AN/VRC-12 series radios, Korea would depend on what type of unit it was assigned to, several different sets were used.

I would imagine an M-42 might have been equipped w/ more that one radio set to cross comm. between diff units? The korean era radios were
vaccum tube type, in 1966 the newer transistorized sets were introduced, of course there werent enough right away to replace every radio already in service so it must have taken a few years (economically and logisticly)to completely replace the older sets.
