I'm hoping to run into some of you guys at the swap meet. Is there a gravitation point for our group?

Although it's not a agreed upon meeting place for the G741 folks, I'll be in the blue area at J8-K8 if you or any other members would like to stop by and say hello please do so, I'd like to meet all of you. I'll have a couple of cases of ice cold barley pops so it's free beer to visitors . Carter
Cabell posted this a while back about his location:
I am located in Vendor Spots Yellow U4-5 and T8-9.
We'll have a collection of guys from Steelsoldiers, the East Coast Convoy, NCMVPA, and G741 occupying the vendor spaces around me... So stop by and I'll be able to introduce you to some folks or at least point the way to were they are...
I will be leading the East Coast Convoy to Aberdeen again this year. We have folks comming down from Canada, up from Floriday, and over from Michigan participating in the Convoy again (Serial Groups form up and head toward Aberdeen from all over arriving on Thursday).
I'm hosting the convoy party on Friday night again this year although it currently looks as if we will be convoying offsite to a park that Carter knows about for our food and festivities... That way, we can get some grass under our toes and an excuse to drive the vehicles some more.
David Doyle will also be set up at my location in case any of you need to build your library... He will have a bunch of his books and other publications.
As far as pioneer tools go, take a gander at the specs on my website for them and remember that local procurement (ie, buying at your local hardware store) is authorized. http://www.garbee

Speaking of Aberdeen and the East Coast Convoy...
The Convoy website is up and running. If your planning on going to the rally, consider going with the Convoy. It's a lot of fun, and you have other folks around you in their MV's so that you have SAFETY IN NUMBERS. So far, we have a great track record for getting folks to and from the rally without mishap...
Also, if you don't Convoy in with us on Thursday, you can still Convoy with us on Friday evning over to the park...
The Convoy website is located at:
www.eastcoastconvoy.com
Also, like Carter,I have cold drinks, food, and a whole lot of parts for sale in my spot...
Looking forward to seeing a bunch of new faces and a lot of familiar ones.

Re: Point of reference at Aberdeen
I've met several guys from this site at or near Cabell's spot. I don't know the actual designation color/numbers of his site, but its always the rear left corner of the parking lot, opposite of the parking areas.refit1701 wrote:I'm hoping to run into some of you guys at the swap meet. I'm definitely hoping to meet some of you guys. Probably do some haggling on some parts too.

Nick's got the description of my location down pat... It's Vendor Spots Yellow U4-5 and T8-9 for those who need color and number...
I'll have a bunch of new, NOS, and takeoff parts for M37's, and other M series vehicles... A couple buddies of mine will have stuff for sale at my location as well (not sure what they are bringing, but everything will be priced to sell...).

I had inquired about a spare tire and wheel previously. Are you going to have any with you? I remember you mentioning something but don't recall exactly what it was you were going to bring. Old age is creeping up on the old memory.....

Glasses.
Kevin;
I actually got that one beat. This happened when I was a kid though. I had grabbed a chocolate chip cookie, took a bite, then forgot where I put it. Looked around then realized it was still in my hand, no lie!!!

I should have a couple with me at Aberdeen... I'll be heading down to a friend's place this weekend to pick some up... I've got a note to put your name on one (if I don't make notes, I forget...)...

Nick,
I should have a couple complete assemblies as well as some loose tires... It all depends on how the rims look when I see them.
Meanwhile, I''ll start working on my list of sale items in a couple days when I start to load for the trip. I know that I have a bunch of NOS brake parts and some takeoff driveline stuff that I will be bringing in addition to some paint and tires... As usual, I've been acquiring stuff during the year and need to make some room in the shop...
