Try living in Phoenix, you might just as well be in Mexico. Our own Government created this mess and they just don't understand why we are tired of it. It is going to get worse before it gets better.

Unfortunatelly not all people feel the same about their flags and what a nation's flag stand for. There has been an incident here in Greece about 3 years ago where due to pure negligence the army put up the flag upside down over the Acropolis in Athens. Anyway, I would expect that that veteran's kbar would be better sharpened. :?

I agree, SOTVEN. Some countries take the matter VERY seriously, though. I was at the International Scout Camp in Kandersteg, Switzerland, back in 1964 when an American Scout (not one of mine, thank goodness) hoisted a "skull and crossbones" pirate flag above the Swiss flag as a prank. He was immediately detained by the Swiss camp commandant, his parents were called, and he was escorted to the border by two Swiss policemen. When his parents arrived to pick him up, they were told that he was "persona non grata" and that he could never enter their country again. His punishment (deportation) was pretty lenient, actually. He was 16 years old and could have been sent to prison for the offense.

The problem here is may I dare say the majority of the population have forgot where we have come from, forgot what it took to build this nation, have no respect for what is right and in general do not understand what they are about to lose.

Barley you are right about that, but the problem really exists all over the world. Unfortunatelly it is in the human nature to forget, neglect and not pay any proper attention to the things that others do for him, good or bad, especially if those actions took place more than a few years ago. This is why history repeats its self, because we never learn to appreciate. The most ironic insident that I can describe to this, is the situation that was uncovered about 2 months ago,(I do not know if the news ever reached the US) where neo-NAZIs were formed in Israel by Israelis. How in the world could ever this be possible? Shown in the news, they had all the bells and whistles, ranging from firearms and uniforms, to swasticas and all. This left me wondering... :?
