Nothing special: Regular GL90. You'll find out quickly if your inner seals are bad because the oil will start leaking out.

80-90 gear lube is a better choice, flows better on a cold start up. Making a premium brand choice is also a smart move. Many cheapo brands are out there now. With bearings to build a diff now over $600, you want to invest in a good quality oil that will do the best job.

Thanks,
My preference would be Royal Purple Synthetic MaxGear, available through NAPA or Synergyn 80-90 gear lube, available from www.SynergynRacing.com
Hydrotex is a very good brand also.

Any of these have a strong additive package with ingredients that causes the oil to adhere tenaciously to gears and bearings, far superior lubricants to the general off the shelf brands.

Charles,
I assume that would also be good to use in the gear boxes of my '42 jeep?
