Nice pics! One question, though...what's the purpose of the fence post on the front of Jake's Jeep?

That's a standard addition added in the field in Europe during WWII, a wire cutter. the enemy would often string wire across the roads, knowing GI's drove with windows folded down..... one could lose their heads....
