pin hole in oil pan

would I be better getting it welded or should some liquid steel work fine.

If you have a pinhole in the oil pan, chances are more than "pretty good" that there are others just waiting to erupt. I got a NOS pan fgor my engine from Midwest Military. Give John a holler. He may have more, and he's a great guy to do business with. :)

I have pan off and sand blasted(black beauty). Just the one hole the rest looks solid.

Brazing the hole shut will do a neater job, welding can leave thin areas around the repair which can cause issues down the road.

I don't agree with this re; welding. If a pinhole, drill it out to about 1/4 in, then plug weld it with a copper paddle behind the hole. Grind flat and you'll never see that hole again. Lay on some good paint and your done. No worries about thin spots, unless youre welding leaves something to be desired.
