Flat tire...

Post by Cal_Gary »

Made another run to the dump on Saturday then stopped for dinner. Came out to the LR tire flat as a pancake with a Phillips head screw waving at me from dead-center in the tread. I need to pick up another tube then head to the truck shop. Glad I had my spare with me,and my lug wrench and jack, and also glad I kept another spare in the basement-loaded that one up when I got home.

Always something....

Don't forget to put a patch on the inside of the tire to keep dirt and water out so it doesn't ruin the new tube.

As the Navy Seals like to say, "Two is one and one is none."

Congrats, you are now officially a Tier 1 (M37) Operator. :)

Good job.

Well at least you had everything with you, I've gone to parades with our group and inevitably the vehicle that breaks down is the guy with no tools or spare parts with.

No need to head to the gym after the tire changing workout, right Gary?

Good advice, Just Me!

Bert you got that right! Just driving around with all the manual accoutrements is a workout to begin with; changing a tire on top of it makes for a good night's sleep!
