Sorry for the delay- let me be sure what you're trying to achieve, Vinny:

1st Battalion, 87th Infantry, Mechanized, Truck A-1?

If correct, that should be 1/87INF(M) on the passenger side then A-1 on the driver's side.

Do you have a Division number? That would go ahead of the 1/87INF(M).... For example, if you were in the 3rd Armored Division the marking would be 3A (add a space, then) 1/87INF(M).

Vinny,
The 1/87 was attached to the 10th mountain division most recently.
Passenger side would read: 10-1/87 (M)
Driver's side would read: A-1
Should be 3" letters and numbers.

Gary,
3A = 3rd Army
3 triangle = 3rd armored.

Hope this helps?

You may be right about the triangle Rick-my memory is fading from my time in the 3rd AD '83-'85....

Vinny,

I hope you haven't put the stickers on yet. But as I told NV in his post Highest HQ goes first from left to right as you look at the truck. So it should be 87I M 1 A
Looking at the front of the truck Passenger side would be 87I M 1 and drivers side would be A and the back of the truck Drivers side 87I M 1 passengers side A

You also need a truck number after the A like 1 or 5 or 23 whatever you want the position of your truck to be in the company convoy.... :)
M37s are HMMWV in my world!
